DAY 01 CUSCO / LARES
Departure by bus from the city of Cusco and after an hours trip get to Chequerec (Chinchero), where the bike journey starts, going past by the Laguna de Huayco towards the archaeological complex of Moray. Continue the tour along the bridle paths leading to the town of Maras, where you will enjoy your box lunch. Since this point, it is all downhill. After lunch, continue pedaling to the Salineras de Maras (salt mines). Following the visit, continue downhill to the Sacred Valley, ending the journey at Tarabamba. Transfer to a private camp. Dinner included. Overnight.

DAY 02 LARES / CUSCO
After breakfast, one and a half hour transfer until reaching the pass heading to the Valle de Lares. The bike tour starts here and heads to the Sacred Valley. The journey is basically downhill, using the remains of an ancient Inca road and other bridle paths, until reaching the city of Calca. Return to the city of Cusco.

WHAT TO BRING
 
  • Small backpack to carry personal objects.
  • Camera.
  • Light jacket (windbreaker) to protect from the wind and occasional rain.
  • Resistant shoes (cycling shoes, hiking shoes, sneakers)
  • Cap for the sun.
  • Sun block.
  • Canteen (in order to avoid contamination of plastic bottles, we will provide pure water to fill and refill canteens).
  • Insect repellent
  • Spear clothes
  • Warm clothing for nights
  • Raincoat or poncho

  • Cash in soles (there are no ATMs outside Cusco)
