DAY
01 IQUITOS
/ PACAYA SAMIRIA LODGE (b/l)
Reception at the airport. Transfer by boat to Pacaya-Samiria
Amazon Lodge (PSAL). The travel time lasts 3.5 hours. We will
observe the confluence of the Marañon and Ucayali Rivers,
head of the Amazonas River. Reception at the lodge. In the
afternoon, a walk along primary rainforest trails that surround
the lodge to appreciate flora and fauna of the region. Depending
on the weather conditions, we will observe a beautiful sunset
from our maloca. Overnight at PSAL.
DAY 02
PACAYA SAMIRIA LODGE (b/l/d)
Jungle
wild dawn. Birdwatching. Breakfast. Departure to the PSNR.
Boat excursion to Nauta creek and the surrounding lakes (cochas).
Chance to observe flora and fauna (monkeys, sloths and wide
variety of aquatic birds). Swimming. Fishing. Exploration
of seasonally flooded forest (flat lands flooded each year
by the seasonal rainfall). Return to lodge. Overnight at PSAL.
DAY 03
PACAYA SAMIRIA LODGE / PACAYA
SAMIRIA RESERVE (b/l/d)
Departure to the PSNR. Boat trip down the Yanayacu River.
Chance to observe grey and pink dolphins, aquatic birds, river
turtles, sloths, monkeys, parrots and macaws. Arrival at camping
site. Afternoon and night excursions. Caiman sightseeing.
Sound of the jungle. Overnight at camping sites in tents.
DAY
04 PACAYA SAMIRIA RESERVE /
PARACA SAMIRIA LODGE (b/l/d)
In the morning, a riverside village visit to learn about the
local people's way of life. Return to the PSAL. Overnight.
DAY 05
PACAYA SAMIRIA / IQUITOS (b/l)
Morning is at leisure. Transfer to Iquitos to board your flight.
