DAY
1 CUSCO / PATALLACTA (l/d)
Transfer from Cusco to the 82nd kilometer, where we will we
meet our porters, cooks and equipment and to begin our trek
along the Urubamba River. After lunch, we will depart to Patallacta,
a place where will make camp.
DAY 2 PATALLACTA
/ LLULLUCCHAPAMPA (b/l/d)
We will be trekking (climb) in ascent all day long up to Llucllucchapampa
with a cold lunch along the way. We will make camp at 3,810
masl (12,500 feet).
DAY 3
LLULLUCCHAPAMPA / CHAKICOCHA (b/l/d)
We will climb to the midpoint of our trek to the pass of Warmiwañusta
at 4,200 masl (13,779 feet). We will descend to the valley of
Pacaymayo to climb again to find the Inca stone trail which
will take us to the Ruins of Runkurakay and finally we will
make camp in the proximity of Chakicocha.
DAY
4 CHAKICOCHA / MACHU PICCHU (b/l/d)
We will follow the Inca trail to visit Phuyupatamarca and Wiñay
Wayna. After going through two tunnels and the first tropical
forest one arrives at Intipunku or the Sun Door, where the Citadel
of Machu Picchu can be first seen. The rest of the afternoon
is free to visit the ruins and later to come down to the campsite
on the banks of the Urubamba River.
DAY 5
MACHU PICCHU / CUSCO (b)
Breakfast and the rest of the time you are free to return to
Machu Picchu, to enjoy the thermal baths of Aguas Calientes
or to visit the creek of Mandor to watch birds such as the Gallito
de las Rocas (the small Rooster of the Rocks). In the afternoon
you return by train to Cusco.

WHAT TO BRING
Warm clothes for the night, flashlight, insect repellant
sun block and water purification tablets and if in the rainy

raincoat.
