5 Km. away from the city of Puno we start a trek visiting a compound of prehistoric paintings of Salcedo. After that, we begin the ascent to the mountain, and on the way we start seeing beautiful and amazing rock formations. After an hour ascent we reach the top of the mountain where we sight a forest of stone giants. Along the entire route we will see 40-meter high rocks or more. We continue on the Inca road cut on live rock and we descend across the giants until getting to Jallihuaya, a small valley to board the vehicle that will take us to the town of Ichu, and see the Incan ruins of Tunuhuire. After that we will return to Puno.
