DAY 01 CUSCO / KM. 82 / LLACTAPATA   
Early morning transfer from hotel to the town of porters, where we will have a chance to know them and participate in their daily activities, since they still preserve 70% of the Inca traditions. Then we reach the starting point of the trek (km 82), following the shore of the Urubamba river, admiring the flora and fauna of the area with its mountains and large glaciers. We reach the camp where we will visit Llactapata, an archaeological site with impressive architecture. Overnight.
DAY 02 LLACTAPATA / LLULLUCHAPAMPA   
After breakfast, we continue the uphill trekking for about 2 hours across a semi-tropical valley until reaching the last inhabited town in what is left of the Inca Trail: Huayllabamba (3,000m.a.s.l.). Later, we will ascend for 2 hours embraced by abundant vegetation with native jungle trees (reason why it is known as the highest jungle in the world, at 3,800m.a.s.l.). Finally, we arrive at camp which is two hours away from the highest mountain pass of the journey. Overnight.
DAY 03 LLULLUCHAPAMPA / CHAQUICOCHA   
After breakfast, we clima to the highest mountain pass, Warmiwañusca, at 4,200m.a.s.l. Throughout the journey we will see typical Andean mountains covered with “ichu” or straw, and snowcapped mountains. After an arduous trek for about 2 hours we finally reach the top where we can observe the majesty of the Andes, its deep valleys, roads and archaeological sites. If the weather conditions are good we will watch condors flying. We descend to the valley of Paccaymayu (3,500m.a.s.l.) to continue the ascent to Runcuraccay, an archaeological site located in a very strategic place and it was dedicated to astronomical matters. After a 1-hour hike we reach the second pass at 3,800m.a.s.l. from where we can see lagoons and base of the mountain (low jungle). We go downhill up to the archaeological site of Sayacmarca. After the visit we get comfortable at the camp. Overnight.
DAY 04 CHAQUICOCHA / PUENTE RUINAS   
Most of the journey is along original and perfectly preserved Inca trails. It has stairways and Inca tunnels, vantage points and it is located in the base of the jungle with plentiful flora and fauna (especially a great diversity of orchids and hummingbirds). We reach the third pass (3,600m.a.s.l.) where we will visit Phuyupatamarca archaeological site. We start descent until reaching Wiñaywana (2,600m.a.s.l.) archaeological site, that in Spanish means “eternal youth”. After that, we continue on a 1-hour trek to the Intipunku (sun gate), where you will have the first impressive sight of the citadel of Machu Picchu; surrounded by mountains covered with vegetation, rivers and valleys. We descend to the upper part of the citadel to rest. We will then go to Aguas Calientes by bus to the camp in Puente Ruinas. Overnight.
DAY 05 MACHU PICCHU / CUSCO   
Early in the morning, at 6 am, we take a bus to the citadel of Machu Picchu on a 3-hour guided visit. After the visit, we will have a chance to freely explore the exotic quietness of “The Lost City of the Incas.” In the afternoon, we return to Aguas Calientes. After that we reutn by train to the city of Cusco.
