DAY 01 ARRIVAL AT LIMA (154 m.a.s.l.)
Arrival in Lima's international airport. Meet our personnel for transfer and accommodation in hotel (Private transportation and professional personnel). Overnight.

DAY 02 LIMA / NASCA (588 m.a.s.l)
Breakfast in hotel. Morning is at leisure for personal activities or optional excursions. Transfer to the bus station and departure on public Pullman tourist bus to the city of Nasca (13.30 / 20.30). Arrival, reception, transfer and accommodation in hotel. Dinner in restaurant. Overnight.

DAY 03 NASCA / SAN FERNANDO / NASCA
Breakfast in hotel. With an adequate 4x4 vehicle go across the arid desert to make the first stop to see Ocongalla's pre-Incan aqueduct. Continue travelling to reach the pre-Incan Sanctuary-City of Cahuachi. Then, head to the dunes at Usaca where travellers will practice sandboarding. After that continue travelling until reaching the Pacific Ocean, and arriving at the paradisiacal destination of Punta San Fernando. The many difficulties the entrance and exit roads present allow the abundant and varied fauna to inhabit the cliffs and beaches being fearless to human presence. The Condor, which comes from the Andes, flies so low that one can almost touch it with one's hands. There are also hundreds of sea lions and Humboldt penguins in the cliffs and beaches watching the visitors with no fear whatsoever. Thousands of birds of the most varied species fly along the coast diving in the water to capture their prey. Box lunch included. In the afternoon, return to Nasca. (Closed 4x4 transportation or open buggy, private, professional driver and Spanish/English guide). Dinner free. Overnight.

DAY 04 NASCA / CHALHUANCA (2,650 m.a.s.l.)
Breakfast in hotel. Very early in the morning and if weather conditions allow it, overfly the Nasca lines and the figures of the Pampas de Nasca. After the flight depart to Chalhuanca on a private vehicle (Km. 361, approximately 6 effective travel hours - Professional driver only, without guide companion). During the trip to Pampas Galeras and the Negro Mayo plateau one as the chance to match thousands of vicuñas, alpacas and llamas pasturing next to the highway. Box lunch included. Arrival at Chalhuanca and accommodation in hotel. Overnight.

DAY 05 CHALHUANCA / CUSCO (3,399 m.a.s.l)
Breakfast in hotel. Departure to Cusco on private transportation (Km. 297 - Approximately 5 effective travel hours - Driver only, no guide companion). Box lunch included. On the way one can visit the fascinating Ina ruins of Saywite (sanctuary dedicated to worshipping water) and Tarawasi (an Incan administrative center) (optional visit). Arrival at Cusco in the afternoon and accommodation in hotel. Overnight.

DAY 06 CUSCO (HALF DAY HORSEBACK RIDING)
Breakfast in hotel. Morning is at leisure for personal activities or optional visits. In the afternoon, pick up from the hotel for a 20-minute car ride to the starting point of the horseback riding activity. The ride lasts two-and-a-half hours and it will go across forests, Andean towns and Incan archaeological remains located in the surroundings of the city of Cusco. One of these is the archaeological complex of Sacsayhuaman. The ride ends at the so called Moon Temple where horses will stay and the travellers will return to the hotel. (Difficulty level: Basic / Estimated Time: 3/4 hours (2.50 hours by horse) - Private services with local Spanish/English guide. It includes: Professional guide and muleteer, a horse per person, helmet is optional). Overnight.

DAY 07 CUSCO / SACRED VALLEY OF THE INCAS (FULL DAY RAFTING)(2,846 m.a.s.l)
Breakfast in hotel. Early in the morning, transfer heading towards the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Arrival at the private pier and beginning of the rafting adventure on the Vilcanota River. Picnic lunch included. Then, guided visit to the archaeological complex of Ollantaytambo or Pisaq depending on the chosen sector. Late afternoon, transfer and accommodation in a hotel in the Valley. (Difficulty level: Class II & III / Estimated Time: 8 hours, along with 2 hours in the river - Private services with local Spanish/English professional guide. It includes guidance speech, First Aid kit, rescue gear, full canoeing gear, and camping gear along with restrooms for the picnic lunch). Overnight.

DAY 08 SACRED VALLEY OF THE INCAS (CYCLING)
Breakfast in hotel. Early in the morning, transfer to the town of Chinchero, where the cycling journey begins. The journey will take the cyclists by the Huayco Lagoon, heading towards the archaeological complex of Moray. Continue the tour along the horseshoe road that leads to the town of Maras, where participants will enjoy their box lunch. From there on the ride is downhill. After lunch, continue pedalling to get to the salt mines of Maras and enjoy a guided tour. After the visit, continue downhill to the end of the cycling experience, the Sacred Valley; then transfer to the hotel. (Difficulty level: Intermediate - Estimated Time: 7 hours (4.5 hours by bike) - It includes: guidance speech, professional Spanish/English guide, repair gear, mountain bike, helmets, gloves and a First Aid kit). Overnight.

DAY 09 SACRED VALLEY OF THE INCAS / AGUAS CALIENTES (2,060 m.a.s.l.)
Breakfast In hotel. Transfer to the station of Ollantaytambo. Departure from Cusco to Machu Picchu by Expedition train. Start trekking for approximately 5 hours to reach the citadel of Machu Picchu. Box lunch included. In the afternoon, transfer to the town of Aguas Calientes and accommodation in hotel. (Private services with professional Spanish/English guide). Dinner at restaurant. Overnight.

DAY 10 AGUAS CALIENTES / MACHU PICCHU / CUSCO
Breakfast in hotel. Early in the morning, transfer in a minivan for a guided visit to the ruins of Machu Picchu. In the afternoon, transfer to the station at Aguas Calientes to get back to Cusco on the Expedition. Arrival at Poroy's railway station, reception, transfer and accommodation in hotel. Overnight.

DAY 11 CUSCO / PUNO (3,827 m.a.s.l)
Breakfast in hotel. Transfer to the station by bus. Departure to Puno in a public pullman tourist bus (SIC Service, Spanish/English guide - Km. 396 almost an 8 hour journey). Lunch in restaurant at Sicuani. During the trip, visit the town and chapel of Andahuaylillas, the ruins of Raqchi and the Museum of Pucará. Arrival in Puno, reception, transfer and accommodation in hotel. Overnight.

DAY 12 PUNO / TITICACA LAKE / PUNO
Breakfast in hotel. Fill day excursion to the Titicaca Lakeand visit the floating islands of the Uros along with Taquile Island. Lunch in the island. (Embarkation and local guide in the required language for up to 6 passengers – from 7 passengers on private service). Overnight.

DAY 13 PUNO / LIMA
Breakfast in hotel. Transfer to the airport of Juliaca, visiting the necropolis of Sillustani and the traditional town of Lampa (Services and guide in the required language for privates); later, departure to Lima on scheduled domestic flight. Arrival, reception, transfer and accommodation in hotel. Overnight.

DAY 14 DEPARTURE FROM LIMA
Breakfast in hotel. Morning tour of the colonial and modern city (Services and guide in the required language for privates). Then, transfer to the airport at a time deemed convenient to be on time for the international flight.

    NOTE: Transfer in/out in Lima, from 2 to 4 pax, will be assisted by a single Spanish-speaking driver, except for the international arrival in-transfer which will always be assisted by bilingual personnel.

INCA TRAIL
 
  • The Inca Trail has to be booked with at least 6 months before. For that, it is important to have the passport number, complete names and birth date of the passengers. Once the tickets have been bought there is no reimbursement if the reservation is cancelled or the personal data changes. In case there is no available space for the Inca Trail, a visit to Machu Picchu will be scheduled, but in a conventional train.
